1. Overview
Dabis Content Manager ("the App") is a local desktop application designed to help you manage and upload videos to YouTube. The App operates entirely on your device. When you use YouTube features, the App communicates directly with Google/YouTube Services from your device. We do not operate servers that collect, store, or process your content or Google account data.
2. Google User Data: What We Access
When you authorize the App via Google OAuth, the App may access the following types of Google user data depending on the permissions ("scopes") you grant:
- YouTube Channel Information: Your YouTube channel name, channel ID, and basic channel metadata to identify which channel you are managing.
- YouTube Video Management: The ability to upload videos, update video metadata (titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, privacy settings), manage playlists, and schedule video publications on your behalf.
- OAuth Tokens: Access tokens and refresh tokens provided by Google to maintain your authenticated session.
The App requests only the minimum scopes necessary to provide its core video upload and management functionality.
3. Google User Data: How We Use It
We use the Google user data described above solely for the following purposes:
- Video Uploads: To upload video files from your device to your YouTube channel.
- Metadata Management: To set and update video titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, privacy settings, and scheduling options.
- Playlist Management: To add videos to playlists on your YouTube channel.
- Session Maintenance: To keep you signed in so you do not need to re-authorize on every use.
We do not use your Google user data for:
- Advertising, marketing, or promotional purposes
- Selling or renting data to third parties
- Building user profiles for purposes unrelated to the App's functionality
- Any purpose other than providing and improving the App's user-facing video management features
4. Google User Data: Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your Google user data to any third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:
- Google/YouTube Services: When you initiate an action (such as uploading a video or updating metadata), the App sends your data directly to Google/YouTube APIs. This is necessary to perform the requested function. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, but only to the extent legally required.
We do not:
- Transfer Google user data to any advertising services
- Transfer Google user data to data brokers
- Transfer Google user data to information resellers
- Use Google user data for any purpose other than providing the App's core functionality
5. Google User Data: Storage and Protection
All Google user data is stored locally on your device only. We do not transmit or store your Google user data on any external servers.
What is stored locally:
- OAuth Tokens: Access tokens and refresh tokens are stored in a local configuration file on your device to maintain your authenticated session.
- Channel Information: Basic channel identifiers may be cached locally to improve the user experience.
- No Video Storage: Your video files remain on your device; we do not copy or store them elsewhere.
Security measures:
- OAuth tokens are stored using standard local file storage mechanisms provided by the operating system.
- The App does not transmit tokens or credentials to any server other than Google's official OAuth endpoints.
- You are responsible for securing your device (e.g., using device encryption, strong passwords, and keeping your operating system updated).
6. Google User Data: Retention and Deletion
Data Retention:
- Google user data (OAuth tokens, cached channel information) remains stored locally on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
- We do not retain any Google user data on external servers because we do not operate such servers.
How to Delete Your Data:
- Within the App: Use the App's sign-out or disconnect feature to remove stored OAuth tokens and cached data.
- Manual Deletion: Delete the App's configuration folder from your device (typically located in your user profile's application data directory).
- Uninstall: Uninstalling the App will remove locally stored data.
- Revoke Access via Google: Visit your Google Account Permissions page to revoke the App's access to your Google account. This immediately invalidates all OAuth tokens.
Data Deletion Requests: Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over deletion. If you have sent us any data directly (e.g., support emails), you may request deletion by contacting us at dabinuss@gmail.com.
7. Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance
Dabis Content Manager's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Limited Use Disclosure:
Dabis Content Manager use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, we commit to the following:
- We only use Google user data to provide and improve user-facing features that are prominent in the App's interface.
- We do not allow humans to read Google user data except (a) with your explicit consent, (b) as necessary for security purposes, (c) to comply with applicable law, or (d) when data is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.
- We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements.
- We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the App's features, or as required by law.
- We do not use Google user data to determine credit worthiness or for lending purposes.
- We do not sell Google user data.
Related Google Policies:
8. Non-Google Data (Local Data)
In addition to Google user data, the App may process the following data locally on your device:
- Video files and media you select for upload
- Video metadata you enter (titles, descriptions, tags, etc.)
- App preferences and UI settings
This data never leaves your device except when you initiate an upload to YouTube.
9. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK Users)
For users in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process data under the following legal bases:
- Contract: Processing necessary to provide the App's features you request.
- Consent: Your OAuth authorization to access Google/YouTube data (revocable at any time).
- Legitimate Interests: Basic app reliability and security, where proportionate and non-intrusive.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request information about what data we process about you.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data (for local data, you can delete it directly; for support correspondence, contact us).
- Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Objection/Restriction: Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
- Revoke Consent: Withdraw your OAuth consent at any time via your Google Account.
Because the App is local-first and we do not operate data collection servers, the most effective way to exercise these rights is to manage data directly on your device or revoke Google access.
11. Children
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). Do not use the App if you are not legally permitted to use Google/YouTube Services.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top indicates when the current version applies. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
